That’s like saying, why paradise? You must go for the experience at least once in a lifetime to revel in the beauty of the culture, the tropics, the islands, the… aloha spirit.
E Komo Mai! Welcome in Hawaiian, Trouvaille is proud to offer members and participants a Hawaiian experience like none other. One that doesn’t just bring you beaches, doesn’t just bring you mountains, doesn’t just bring you brilliant night skies, but brings it all to you in an epic week of exploration, learning, and immersion into the Hawaiian way of life.
When you arrive, the Trouvaille team will greet you, whisk you off to our plush Hawaiian home, and settle you in for a week that you’ll never forget. That week will include...
[Green. Black. Beaches]
[Hike a volcano to see the larva stream]
[Join a star party at 9200 ft]
[Take to the skies by helicopter to get a bird's-eye view]
Beaches and Sailing
Not only will you visit and enjoy some of the most famous and remote beaches in Hawaii, such as Green Sand Beach (Papakolea) and Black Sand Beach, but you will also experience a day sail along the Kohala Coast to snorkel with the fish, explore the underwater coastal ecosystems, and gain insight into the importance of the oceans and their habitats.
You’ll begin the day with a hearty breakfast, then put on your hiking shoes, and head out to Hawaii Volcano National Park to walk on lava, see the steam plume and (if lucky!) walk to the active lava flow. The dynamic and violent Earth will be visible real-time at the Kilauea crater and as we drive along Chain of Craters Road to the active eruption site. Geology up-close-and-personal is the best way to see and understand the changing Earth.
The Brilliant Stars
You will take a trip up the rugged roads of Mauna Kea to the summit at 13,796 feet to witness a brilliant sunset, see the world-class astronomical observatories surrounding you, and learn about the mind-expanding discoveries revealed by the massive telescopes gazing up at the sky each night. We also can’t forget to mention the Onizuka Visitor Center at 9200 feet where you will join a star party and peer through the array of telescopes there to see sights such as the majestic rings of Saturn, the bands of Jupiter, or the mottled surface of Mars.
You’ll take the “high road” with your Trouvaille friends in a helicopter tour to view the island from above – from the lava flows and elegant waterfalls to the rugged coasts and niche ecosystems.
Spend a relaxing, but vigorous, day walking from small Hawaiian towns down to the ocean where you can learn about the local plant life, experience secluded ocean waterfronts, and share a bonding moment with your Trouvaille compatriots. Hiking in Hawaii is one of the best forms of exercise around!
The Big Island is replete with excellent restaurants and cuisine that highlights fresh, sustainable fish, meat, and produce that is coupled with chic presentations and excellent service. The Trouvaille troupe will enjoy meals at, among other places, Roy’s at Waikoloa Village, Kamuela Provision Company at the Hilton Waikoloa Village, and ‘Ulu Ocean Grill at the Four Seasons Hotel. Come for the food, stay for the scenery!
The Trouvaille team has the skills, experience, and knowledge to give you the best of the Big Island. For this adventure, we give you Hawaii. Join us! For more information and pricing, send inquiries to email@example.com. Mahalo!
